Western dances, Classical and Instrumental Music, Solo Song and Solo Dance, Folk Song and Bhangra.
Art And Painting
Work of art is the manifestation of children’s thinking and feeling, and blending of creativity and
imagination. To exhibit hidden talents of the students Drawing and Painting ,Slogan and Poster Making,
Clay Modelling and Bulletin Board Competitions are held.
Value Education
To keep students spiritually enlightened, morning assemblies, reflections, bible reading,
moral science(subject, carol singing are there) in the school which make them better citizens of tomorrow.
House Activities
To exhibit unusual and well defined talents of the children, the students from II-XII are divided
into four houses – Nehru, Gandhi, Shastri and Tagore. Inter-house Competitions are held from time to time
during the session to inculcate in them the spirit of healthy competition, responsibility and confidence.
Aptitude Tests
The purpose(objective) of Sacred Heartians in life is not to get ahead of others but to get ahead
of themselves to break their own records to outstrip their yesterday by their today. CIPEL’s English
Proficiency and General Knowledge, IMO, NSO, NCO tests are organized to develop logical and reasoning
ability of the students.
Information And Technology
To enhance the technical skills of the students and keep them updated with the latest technology
various competitions are held wherein the students are encouraged to create Multi-Media Presentations,
Websites pages, Animated Flash Movies etc.
Inter School Competitions
Students are given the opportunity to participate in various Inter School Competitions to
inculcate competitive spirit in the students.
Career Counselling
Regular Career Counselling sessions for XI-XII for choosing various career options
open new horizons for the students.
FETE
School fete is organized every alternate year to raise funds for some charitable purpose
and help the under privileged section of our society.
Trips And Excursions
Educational and recreational outings given to the students help them to gain first hand
exposure so that they can supplement what is taught to them in the classrooms.
School Band
A group of 20 students representing Army Pipe Band are trained to perform during school functions.
ST. MARY’S KINDERGARTEN (ACTIVITIES)
To excel at all levels, the school gives students the scope and the spirit of healthy competitions.
Fill the Colour, Recitation, Dance, Dressed for Success, Clay Modelling, Calligraphy, Mind Storming ,
Story Telling Competitions are held. These co-curricular activities are meant to introduce more meaning,
more joy and the development of more competence and more skills in the lives of the children. With the
celebration of seasonal, national and religious festivals, it is a carnival time for the students.
Taking the tears out of learning is our motto and mission. Dramatization and Assemblies based on
nature gives a head start to the young ones towards cognitive development. With these activities
filled school hours we take the torture out of learning.
